What does it mean to be united in Christ? Today, we have two special guests joining Karen Hodge, Sherry Lanier and Ronjanett Taylor, to talk about gospel friendships and how Christ makes us one even though we can be very different.

Discussion Questions:

  • Do you have someone you would describe as a “gospel friend”?
  • How do our differences (ethnicity, age, socio economic) sometimes keep us from developing a gospel friendship?
  • How did Sherry and Ronjanett overcome their differences?
  • Why do you think it is so easy to be divided?
  • What does Ronjanett say is the starting place in seeking unity?
  • How does the Gospel give us common ground with every person?
  • How is God glorified by our unity?

About the Speaker:

Ronjanett Taylor

Ronjanett is the wife of ruling elder Bryant, mother of three, and GiGi to two little granddaughters. She has been a member of Redeemer Church PCA in Jackson, MS since its inception in 2004 and coordinates the Sister Cooks ministry. She currently serves as the At Large Advisor for Diversity on the PCA Women’s Ministry team. She works full time as state director for the America Reads – Mississippi AmeriCorps Program.

Sherry Lanier

Sherry and her husband Steve reside in Jackson, MS where they helped start Redeemer Church PCA, an intentionally multi-cultural church in the heart of the deep-south after serving on staff of Youth for Christ. Sherry has a passion for God’s Word and communicating the Hope of the Gospel. She currently serves as an Advisor to the PCA Committee on Discipleship Ministries and is on the staff of MNA Disaster Response and teaches an outreach Bible study for professional women. Her greatest joy is ministering alongside her husband, hosting people in her home, and being ‘Momsie’ to her precious grandchildren!Connect with resources about Unity & Diversity:
