Intergenerational Bracelets
We assembled three bracelets of the same color or design and tied a ribbon around them.
We prompted them with these instructions:
“Why three bracelets of the same color?” So, in your pencil pouch, you received three bracelets attached. And maybe you thought, why are these the same color? How boring! And you are right! This is not the original design for us all to be the same or stay within our own groups. [Over the course of tonight and tomorrow morning] we want you to keep one of the bracelets and give two away. The challenge is to find two people from a different generation to swap bracelets with.
We are reminded of God’s faithfulness when all generations gather to worship together. Once the bracelets have been exchanged, your wrist will visually represent the beautiful gift of intergenerational friendships. There is beauty and value when the generations of God’s people gather!”
