Something Worth Being Afraid of – While “fear not” is a repeated refrain throughout scripture, the writer of Hebrews tells us that there is something we should fear: we should fear failing to enter into God’s promised rest. Evidently there are some who claim to be part of the people of God who will fail to enter into the ultimate eternal rest He has offered to all. And then He tells us to do something that sounds counter-intuitive: we should strive to rest. What should this striving look like? What form should it take? As we look back on fifty years of God’s faithfulness to us, Nancy Guthrie will urge us toward proper fear and striving toward the future God has set before us: His rest.
Taste & See Seminar Series:

Because God Has Spoken – God could have made the world and left us on our own. But he didn’t. Instead, God condescended to speak to us in human language. If we didn’t believe that, there would be no Presbyterian Church in America. So what are the implications of believing that God has spoken? What will it mean for us to hear it, understand it, delight in it, submit to it, know it, teach it, live it, and believe it today and over the next fifty years? Nancy Guthrie will lead us in exploring together what it will mean for us to be women whose ears are attentive to, and whose lives are shaped by the living and active Word.
Thursday, 6/15, 9:30-10:30 am
A Gospel Conversation Among Friends – We have not been left on our own to “grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.” Join us as we hear from other women about how they have developed as women of the Word; the blessings from stewarding their time to invest in studying God’s Word and how they have navigated some of the barriers. Not only will we look back at how God has “brought the increase” but we will prayerfully encourage one another as we go forth as those who delight in the Law of the Lord.
Meaghan May is grateful for the gospel and loves inviting women to live in light of the good news of the steadfast love of God in their current season. She is the PCA Elders’ Wives Liaison with PCA’s Discipleship Ministries (CDM). She has lived in many regions of the country and knows the goodness of God’s presence and work in each location. Over the past two decades, she has served alongside her husband in church planting, in women’s ministry, children’s ministry, special needs ministry, conference planning, retreat speaking, coaching, and youth ministry. She loves the church and is thankful to equip and encourage His people, especially those serving as Elder’s wives. Meaghan has been on the PCA Women’s Ministry National Team as a Regional Advisor and currently serves as a trainer with Parakaleo. Meaghan is thankful to invest in the lives of women as the Women’s Ministry Director for Covenant Presbyterian Church of Naples. She prays that women will grow in their love for God, His word, and one another, that together they will magnify the Lord and exalt His Name (Psalm 34:3).
Meaghan loves to hike, laugh, read, experiment with new recipes, and cram into the minivan to explore new places on road trips with their five beautiful children.
